Evening Primrose Oil is extracted from the seeds of evening primrose plant (Oenothera biennis), which is native to North America. The oil contains GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid), an omega-6 fatty acid that has both anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) properties. It is believed that Evening Primrose Oil may help with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne, as well as to alleviate PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and menopausal symptoms, diabetic neuropathy, osteoporosis and arthritis and even hair loss.
